products
We work with a family business located in the region of Guimarães, in northern Portugal. The grandchildren of its founder use the latest weaving and manufacturing technologies and continue to develop their ancestral know-how. Their production methods respect the environment and the traditions that have proven themselves for three generations.
For our silk pillowcases, the first on the silk market, we have chosen to work hand in hand with a factory located in the Suzhou region, in the East of China. It was important for us to collaborate with the best craftsmen, who work with exceptional materials, in order to offer our customers products of excellent quality. The silk is produced in small quantities, ethically and responsibly, in a factory that has proven itself in the market for over 10 years.
Our cotton yarn comes from Oeko Tex certified suppliers in Egypt and India. Every step of the production, from weaving to making, is done in our eco-responsible factory in northern Portugal.
Our washed linen is 100% French and comes from Normandy.
Harvested in the province of Sichuan, China, the cocoon is then unwound to extract the silk thread. Moulded and woven, the pillowcases are then dyed without harmful chemicals. Indeed, La Chambre Paris silk pillowcases are certified OEKO-TEX ®.
Our products in washed linen, satin, percale and silk are Oeko-Tex certified.
Our children's collection products are made of organic cotton.
All our products respect the reach protocol.
Oeko Tex Standard 100: guarantees the human and ecological safety of textile products at all stages of the textile value chain, this process exceeds all other existing criteria for safety and environmental protection.
The REACH protocol: The European Union controls the use of chemicals under the REACH protocol. It includes the "registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals" and holds manufacturers responsible for the safety and health of humans and the environment. They are required to identify and limit the risks associated with the use of chemicals in their manufacturing processes.
Our fitted sheets are suitable for all mattresses up to 30 cm thick.
For thicker mattresses, we offer our large fitted sheets, up to 45 cm thick.
For our percale, satin and cotton collection: We advise you to wash your sheets before the first use at 40°C maximum.
You can wash them every 7 to 10 days, without overloading your machine and use a soft liquid detergent (avoid washing powders, fabric softeners, dryer wipes and bleaching agents, which damage the natural fibers of the linen).
To dry them, air dry or tumble dry at low temperature.
And for the ironing, it is optional because our sheets are very beautiful in the natural way ;)
For more information, go to here.
For our silk collection:
Use a hypoallergenic detergent with a neutral PH.
Wash separately at 30° on a delicate program or by hand in warm water without soaking.
Do not use the tumble dryer and do not wring the silk to spin it.
Iron the pillowcase inside out on the "silk" program of your iron.

la chambre paris
We chose the name La Chambre, Paris because we wanted a contemporary French name that was accessible and understood internationally. We liked the ideas represented by the name la chambre. It offers endless possibilities for storytelling. It's a literary name, carrying both a common and personal meaning for everyone. From Van Gogh, Picasso and Matisse to Proust and modern cinema, we are constantly witnessing the way life unfolds in the bedroom. It is the scene of drama and peace and the place that has the most potential to transform us.
La Chambre products are sold exclusively online.
A product can legally be claimed to be "made in" France when the last substantial transformation or a significant part of the added value (minimum 45%) is done in the country. Thus, for example, bed linen can claim to be "made in France" when the raw materials are actually produced, spun, woven and printed in Asia because the last convection step is carried out in France.
Our priority is to provide products of the highest quality, ethically sourced, at a reasonable price. To do this, we need transparency from our factories so that we can be transparent with you.
For us, the "Made in France" label is only useful if it includes as many production stages as possible. Due to the de-industrialisation that France has undergone over the last 50 years, it has become extremely difficult to manufacture bed linen that is genuinely "Made in France".
That said, we are always keen to work with French partners and producers when they are best placed to manufacture our products or help us run our business.
