The Alexandre Turpault brand has been designing and selling household linen since 1847. Located in the heart of Paris, Turpault has been cultivating French know-how for over 170 years with an elegant and refined style. Turpault duvet covers offer comfort and softness for a good night's sleep.
The history of Turpault bed linen
Since 1847, the Turpault company has been manufacturing bed linen in high quality materials, with high precision finishing. The incomparable quality of its products quickly became a luxury brand. In 1862, Turpault took part in the development of mass distribution by selling its household linen to the Bon Marché. Its excellence was rewarded in 1878 and 1889 at the Universal Exhibitions in Paris, and later the brand decorated the famous liner Normandie. Even today, Alexandre Turpault products are regularly featured in films. The brand has dozens of sales outlets in France and around the world, and an e-commerce site.
The Turpault duvet cover
Today, the Turpault range has diversified: the brand makes table linen, bed linen, bath linen, and home accessories: cushion covers, plaids, bedspreads. The Turpault duvet cover exists in 66 different models, patterns or plain, it is proposed in top-of-the-range materials: linen, percale, linen or cotton satin, for a price range going from 160 to 450 euros. Turpault duvet covers are available in standard French sizes: 240x220cm and 260x240cm. Delivery is free from 100 euros onwards or on your first order on their website.
What is "le blanc" ?
White is the period during which shops offered promotions on household linen. The tradition was born in the 19th century, but continues today since this year, the Turpault house was in a white period from May 20th to June 30th. The white period can also take place in January, the month of the White. During this period, linens are sold for 30% less. Other houses, such as Desforges or Descamps offer these historic promotions every year.
Bed linen made in France
Alexandre Turpault is a resolutely French brand, and yet... If you look hard enough, some of the bed linen and articles on offer are made in Portugal.
It is possible that the brand has production workshops in the Vosges and Hauts-de-France, but the product sheet for some sets indicates that they are made in Portugal. The house also applies an effective ecological charter by using linen from French culture and treating the fabric naturally, without adding chemicals, to preserve the buyers and the planet.
