In the bed linen market, there is something for everyone: from cheap bed linen to luxury items, there is something for everyone. If France is famous for its taste in fashion and luxury, not all of our famous fashion houses have decided to go into your bed.
On the web you can find Chanel duvet covers, Yves Saint Laurent duvet covers or even Dior duvet covers, but beware of their origin, as they could be counterfeit. Hermès has diversified into home goods such as cushions, blankets, towels, and plaids in fine materials such as cashmere, but like its French counterparts, you won't find Hermès duvet covers that actually come from the company. The brands of the LVMH group, which have a "zero tolerance" policy on counterfeiting, also have counterfeit items in circulation. So you can find Louis Vuitton duvet covers, and Givenchy duvet covers, or at least duvet covers with the famous LV or Givenchy's famous interlaced G logo.
The Pierre Cardin brand is present, in the form of a franchise, in more than 100 countries, making Pierre Cardin one of the five best known French designers in the world. On the internet, several online sales sites offer Pierre Cardin bed linen at very affordable prices. A Pierre Cardin duvet cover sold by the famous website Groupon sells for 24.90€. Other sites sell Pierre Cardin duvet covers for less than 100€. However, on the official website, there are no Pierre Cardin household items or bed linen. Is it a counterfeit? Is it a homonymous seller? or is it an authorization to use the brand name? The information is difficult to find and to prove.
As for Jean-Paul Gaultier, famous for having dressed Madonna, he signed a collection of fabrics for the house, mixing inspirations coming from street art and from the African lands. But the French fashion house has not yet launched a collection of duvet covers Jean-Paul Gaultier.
Bed linen from luxury brands is rare, so you won't find Prada duvet covers, Calvin Klein duvet covers or Lanvin duvet covers. To make sure you don't get ripped off and pay a high price for poor quality and illegal fakes, it's always best to buy directly from the official websites of the big brands.
Luxury duvet covers for your bed
If you can't find a real Chanel duvet cover, there are still luxury houses that have created their own range of bed linen. The famous house Kenzo, sells via the Yves Delorme website a collection of Kenzo bed linen, each item of which has a name beginning with the initial "K" of the brand, K Iconic, K Phoenix, K Jacket ... The patterns are in keeping with the Kenzo style: stripes, floral motifs, Japanese motifs, woven in bright colours. The Kenzo duvet covers are made of 100% cotton printed sateen, 120 threads per m3 . Each item in the set is sold separately. The Kenzo duvet cover is available in sizes 140x200, 200x200, 220x240 and 260x240 and costs between 95 € and 295 €, depending on the size. Several online stores also offer duvet covers by Sonia Rykiel. Galeries Lafayette, Yves Delorme, the BHV website ... The Sonia Rykiel duvet cover models created by the fashion house have been designed with a matching pillowcase and flat sheet, while the Sonia Rykiel fitted sheets are designed in different patterns, respecting the designer's pronounced taste for mismatches. The Sonia Rykiel duvet covers are made of 120 thread count cotton percale.
English duvet covers
In the United Kingdom, the Laura Ashley brand of interior decoration and textiles offers top-of-the-range bed linen with resolutely British motifs. Floral, bucolic and duvetcover liberty, the softness of the Laura Ashley universe invites itself in your bedroom.
Laura Ashley duvet covers are made of cotton, and prices range from 45 to 120€. As for the British tailor Burberry , famous for its trench coat, it has not yet developed a range of bed linen. The brand's range has diversified considerably, and it now sells ready-to-wear for men, women and children, as well as bags and perfumes. Its beige, black and red tartan pattern on the lining of its trench coats has become one of the most widely imitated and counterfeited models. It is this pattern that you can find on Burberry duvet covers ... counterfeit.
Italian luxury
Italy is a master of design and home to a number of renowned designers. Just like our French brands, bed linen from top brands is subject to counterfeiting. You won't find authentic duvet covers from Gucci on the market. The brand does sell pillows for 980€, but they are for decoration, not for sleeping on. If the famous Gucci G is on bed linen, chances are it is not Gucci bed linen. Instead, the fashion brand Missoni, based in Varese, Italy, has created a range of bed linen in its flagship fabric: very colourful, floral and fruity. You can find it on Missoni's duvet covers, which include a pair of pillowcases in cotton twill, printed with rainbow stripes for 95€. The most expensive bed set is made in the brand's famous chevron pattern, in cotton embroidered with viscose threads, sold with a pair of 50 x 80 cm pillowcases in cotton sateen for 1173€.
Some materials are by nature luxurious and are also used in bed linen: silk sheets or flannel sheets, rare and expensive materials.
