A short history of Disney success
The famous Walt Disney was born in 1901 in the United States. Passionate about animation, he created the Walt Disney Company in 1923 and became a pioneer in the world of animated films. Before creating Mickey, Mr. Disney had invented Oswald, a rabbit with floppy ears.
It was only later, by reworking Oswald's features with the help of his collaborators, that he drew the little mouse that has lasted for ages. Initially named Mickey Mortimer, he would eventually become the very famous mouse: Mickey Mouse.
In 1937, Walt Disney created the first full-length animated film, a revolutionary production for its time: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Over the years, the Disney studios will accumulate successes, to become the empire of today. Fifty years after his death, he is still to this day the individual artist who has won the most Oscars, with a total of 22 awards for 59 nominations.
