The Parisian hotels we loved spending the night at in 2019

Looking for a comfortable place to put your bags between a plane and a train? A timeless bubble in the middle of the city? A contemporary address where you can stay for the week? You'll find it all in our 2019 selection of the best hotels in Paris, the city where La Chambre was born. A 100% subjective list of addresses, where we advise you to book with your eyes closed.

THE MUST-SEE

The Hoxton

Because you could live there. Literally. Since crossing the English Channel in the summer of 2017, the Hoxton has found its place in the hearts and address books of Parisians, whether they're just passing through or have been there forever. As well as sleeping there, people take advantage of its lobby and leafy terrace to work during the day, before having a drink at the Jacques or to dine at the Rivié in the evening.

30-32 rue du Sentier

The Bachaumont Hotel

From its glorious past, the Bachaumont has kept some traces. A mythical façade, a name engraved in stone, a wrought iron porch... And the spirit of the Belle Époque, suggested by the talent of the architect Dorothée Meilichzon. A renaissance that we enjoy since 2016, in one of the 49 rooms of the establishment or under the glass roof of its restaurant.

THE VERY GOOD ADDRESSES

The Hôtel Particulier

Although the address has been in circulation since 2007, theHôtel Particulier remains a well-kept secret. Somewhere on the Montmartre hill, the pavilion is only revealed after passing through several private passages. It is a place out of time and out of the hustle and bustle, surrounded by a terraced garden of over 900m2. And a night in this jewel box is well deserved: with no more than five suites, it is also the smallest hotel in the capital.

23 avenue Junot
Paris 18

The Hotel du Temps

No, a night in a boutique hotel is not an inaccessible luxury. L’Hôtel du Temps proves it. This beautiful surprise, a few blocks from the Gare du Nord, welcomes travellers and well-informed Parisians in its pretty rooms with simple and careful decoration. The detail that counts? It is one of the rare Parisian hotels to offer Aesop skincare products to its guests.

NEW PRODUCTS

Le Ballu

Welcome to the latest addition to our selection! Le Ballu has just opened its doors in the heart of the Nouvelle Athènes, this micro-district where George Sand, Gustave Moreau, Alexandre Dumas or Claude Monet met in the XIXe century. Two mansions, typical of the area, now house this modernist hotel where guests can also enjoy a swimming pool and a sauna, just for them.

La Maison Bréguet

A few minutes from Bastille, the Maison Bréguet is getting ready to celebrate its first anniversary. And it's safe to bet that it will be followed by many others. This hotel opens the doors of Paris wide to all those who stop there, and not only thanks to its refined decoration without overdoing it. Musicians, artists and authors have composed the selection of books, films and playlists of the place. It feels like home, only better.

TO INDULGE YOURSELF

Le Brach

On 7000m2the Brach presents a happy mix of genres. Between a Moroccan restaurant, an unusual interior signed by Philippe Starck, Norwegian baths and a vegetable garden on the terrace, the experience is singular and surreal. In the good sense of the word. You don't really know what city you're in anymore and that's fine.

Le Brach
1-7 rue Jean Richepin
Paris 16

The Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers

More than the hotel itself, it is its rooftop that has made the reputation of theHôtel National des Arts et Métiers. The 360° view from this remarkable address in the Marais is a big part of it. It would be wrong to stop there and not book a room. Precise choice of raw materials, beautiful light and even some private balconies and terraces... It makes you want to spend the night there.

243 Rue Saint Martin

The Queen's Pavilion

After the Place des Vosges, the oldest in Paris, we thought that nothing could dazzle us anymore. This was without counting on the Pavillon de la Reinenamed after one of its most famous inhabitants: Anne of Austria, Queen of France. Pushing its doors is like travelling in time, to the XVIIe century. From the ivy-covered facade to the historical atmosphere of its 56 rooms, it is a return to a certain art of living.
